When the husband and I were living in the Midwest, we had a subscription for Direct TV. I love it since I was not used to having so many channels to surf when I wanted to watch television. Where I came from even with a paid cable subscription there were not that many channels to choose from. I never had that problem on my first three months here. I even had all the Filipino channels I wanted, complete with an FM station. Those were the days! When we had DirectTV I did not have to rent any movies or get bored sitting at home waiting for the husband to come home from work. I enjoyed it immensely.
But then we moved down south. And since we live in the city we did not subscribe to DirecTV anymore. In fact we do not have cable subscription. We decided to cut off on bills because of the recession. There are only limited channels I can watch and what I can't I watch online. That is why I am glad when the husband said we will be moving back to the Midwest to be near his relatives. Because it means we will have the same things we had before we moved down here. I am actually looking forward to it. Who knows with luck I might just have my Filipino channels back.
