Yesterday was the last day of the series Marimar, a filipino adaptation of the Mexican telenovela by Thalia. Instead of being happy they finally end the series after a dragging story, I was a little disappointed. I know that in the original story the villain Angelica died which happened in this series too but I felt it could have happened sooner. The things that the protagonist at the end of the series was a little over the top. Where did they get the courage? And why just at the end? Sometimes it doesn't make sense. But then as long as the viewers are happy and the producers are raking money.
The elaborate wedding and reception, I didn't really like much. Don't get me wrong. I am an avid viewer of the show but I think the ending was too much. Maybe because I knew what it was going to be like. It would have been nice if there were no dialogues and stuff. And the villain died and got eaten by crocodiles? Where did that take place? Is there still a place in PI infested with crocs? In the zoo maybe? Not really very realistic. Sad. To think I waited for the ending. The director of the show didn't deliver a very good ending to what could have been a nice series. Or was it the writers? I am glad it is over. I hope they will not do the same thing to the next show (the same lead stars and director) what they did with this one. Get to the point you all. A fast-paced series is a little more exciting.
