We heard bad news from two of the husband's siblings. Their older sister is diagnosed with leukemia and is now awaiting more results from her doctor to know its progress. Their second to the youngest brother has lung cancer. Or so he says. He is also has to undergo a lot of check-ups to know the extent of the disease and see what the doctors can do. These were indeed very bad news. His siblings are not very old. The younger looked healthy the last time we saw him which was about two years ago before we moved down south. He did not look like somebody who has cancer. Perhaps he did not have lung cancer symptoms until lately.

The news devastated the family members but there is really very little they can do. I don't know how MIL is dealing with it. The husband did not say if he called her yet. I guess he is afraid to because he forgot to call her on her birthday. I urged him to call his mother because even if her kids are already old and are living their own lives with their families, I am sure she still worries about them. She might need somebody to talk to specially since she is living alone. I don't know if the husband's younger brother will consider treatment after he gets all the results. It might be hard though since I don't think lung cancer treatment is cheap. But I hope they will find a way. We will keep them in our prayers. I hope you will too.

Last week when we were at the store, I noticed there were still some sale going on. I decided to get two DVD's, Kung Fu Panda and The Golden Compass. One which I have been meaning to watch and the other was just cheap so I got it. The husband paid for it as usual   I would have been happier if I found Wall-E but I did not and we were kinda in a hurry. Well, it has been a week and yet I have not watched any of the movies. It seems like I don't have the time. Either I am online or reading on my free time and when I think about watching the movies something always comes up for me to do and then I forget about it. I know I should. The husband paid a lot for the DVD's. We usually just rent but I don't know what came over me to decide to spend that much on a movie. Have I decided to get books I would have had more than twenty at a dollar a piece. Man, that would have been enough to last me a month. But I was curious about the movies and thought that maybe the little man will enjoy watching it with me. Perhaps we will watch it this weekend.
