The husband and I have been planning on losing weight. It is not easy because we both love food and we don't have control over our vice which is eating whenever, whatever without thinking about calories and such. The result though is bad and we are suffering from it right now. And before it gets too bad we think about doing something about it before it gets too late. Besides, his doctor already told him he needs to walk albeit a little at a time. So we decided we will do just that. We will have to start by buying me running shoes first. I have an old pair of tennis shoes which is starting to wear out on me and I need a new pair bad. The husband still has his dependable pair of shoes so he does not need new ones. We know we are not going to run but it will be nice to have some comfortable shoes while we do our walk. Besides I tend to alternate running and walking if my energy level allows me to.

I am already excited with our plan. Now if the weather will only cooperate it will be nice. We have been to the beach several times and we deemed it not fit to walk because of the strong wind. It looks like it is a good day today so we will go check. But until I have my new running shoes I will use my old one and take it easy. I don't want to get blisters.

Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to travel to Alaska. I know it is odd considering I don't even like the cold weather but when I was a little kid and read about the Eskimo's and igloos, I have been drawn. I don't know if that dream will be realized though. We don't have the money to travel and if we will ever have some it will have to be spent for our trip to the Philippines first. I have heard of people who talked about their Alaska travel and I envy them. They surely have the money to afford such luxury to travel. I wonder if they went to the Denali Park which boasts of each teeming wildlife and the beautiful Mount McKinley.

Hopefully one day, my family will be able to travel Alaska and satisfy my childhood curiosity. It will be a trip like no other. Alaska is not the only place I want to go to though. There is Greece which I have had the same fascination since I was a kid. And then there is Paris. Oh, so many places to go yet so little money, lol. I am still hoping for the best though. For now we will save and keep on dreaming
