I was uncomfortable for weeks and I did not know what it was. I knew I was not bloated, or not that I felt like I was. But I had gas and it was so bad and that was unusual for me. I thought it might just be a result of the pelvic exam I underwent a week before I felt the discomfort. When it went on for three weeks I knew there was something going on so I searched online to know the answers. I told the husband the symptoms I got but he did not know what to do hence the online search. What I found out was that I had intestinal gas (I knew that ). When I read the possible cause I was dumbfounded. The reason the uncomfortable feeling did not go away was because of my diet. It said that eating food rich in fiber such as whole wheat is one of the reason. Well, the husband started on a diet to lower his cholesterol and wheat is supposed to be good for him and since I promised him I will eat what he eats, I have been eating Quaker oats and wheat bread. I don't know why I did not even suspect these as the culprits. Add the fact that I am lactose intolerant yet I use milk when I ate the oats, well, what do you expect happened? Once I learned the reason why I was feeling the discomfort, I am not eating the food daily like I used to. I am not going to give it up entirely because it is healthy and I think that as long as I do it in moderation I should be fine. At least now I know the cause and I know what to do.
